Avril died on the 11th November 2013. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
"I have lived, made and painted at Yew Tree Farmhouse, Stretton on Dunsmore, Rugby for more than forty years. I brought up my four children there and love the place. When they were young I found it difficult to find long periods of time in which to paint. I found that tradditional woman's skills such as sewing, felting, applique, collage & papier mache suited me as they could be produced in the small pockets of time that were available to me and they cost less than paint!"
Made from boiled and felted, cut and sewn old jumpers.
Built on coat-hangers for easy display and storage and made of scrap materials as they came along and seemed appropriate.
